Scope

This Privacy Policy covers two separate Dconomation services: the Dconomation website (the “Website”) and any Dconomation Discord bot or application (the “Discord Bot”). The data each service handles is different; the sections below identify which service a statement applies to.

Website Privacy

The Website is a published technical blog. It does not currently offer account registration, payments, or user-submitted posts. Website hosting and delivery providers may process standard technical information required to serve the site, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, and server request logs.

If analytics, a newsletter, comments, payments, or other interactive services are added later, this policy will be updated before those services are used.

Discord Bot Privacy

When the Discord Bot is used, it may process Discord user IDs and usernames, command usage, server membership information, bot configuration for a server, moderation actions, and message content only where the applicable bot configuration enables or requires it.

The Discord Bot does not use data collected from the Website to identify Discord users, and Website visitors do not need a Discord account to read the Website.

Information We Collect

Information may come directly from you, automatically through the Website or Discord platform, or from a connected third-party service. The exact information depends on whether you are reading the Website or interacting with a Discord Bot.

How We Use Your Information

We use information to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the applicable service; respond to support requests; enforce bot/server settings and moderation rules; communicate important service notices; and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Your Information

We may share information with service providers that help host or operate the applicable service, where required by law, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for third-party marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Website may use cookies or similar technologies for functional preferences, security, analytics, or performance where enabled. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Discord Bot data is governed in part by Discord’s own platform policies and settings.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, comply with legal obligations, and enforce the applicable service. Information no longer needed will be deleted or anonymized where practical.

Children’s Privacy

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the applicable service after an update is subject to the revised policy.
